I hadn’t realised previously but this material is as good as anything thrown up in that 2-tone / ska era. No, you wouldn’t say there is a great deal of variety or originality, nor would you say it is full of breathtakingly striking musicianship or great singing but there is consistent quality songwriting delivered with a lightness and warmth – an almost naïve happiness. As they themselves sing in the closing number Jackpot, 'What a joy / What a joy / What a joyful sound', indeed it is, and as can often be the case for the Caribbean music it is derived from.

It’s difficult to pick out a bad track or to find anything particularly to dislike. Nice one.

Hard to criticize something that's so lively and infectious. Great fun - I can imaging there were some great nights in Brum in the early 80s.

Short and Sweet, well played ska. Reminds of the 80s too much but that's not the fault of the album, I blame Thatcher and Shane Meadows.
