Influential guitar bloke

This chap seemingly has the respect of several people I know, and even influenced their own musical education. Even babies are being named after him. That info, along with the fact that it was made in 79, adds more gravity to my appreciation of this album. However taken purely in its entirety today, I find it an enjoyable but not overly exciting listen; I've probably heard this two decades too late for it to have any significant bearing on my life now.
